Flying Fish

Privacy policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

Flying Fish has no ads and no analytics or tracking. To show the global leaderboard and back up your progress, the game makes an anonymous player profile on our server. Signing in with Google is optional; we keep only Google's account ID, not your email or name.

Who we are

Flying Fish is made by Ruykin LLP. Questions about this policy: support@ruykin.com.

On your device

Your best score, pearls, unlocked fish, streak, Daily Current result, Story progress and settings are saved on your device (app storage, or your browser's local storage on the web). Uninstalling the app or clearing site data deletes them there.

Your player profile and the leaderboard (web game)

The first time you play, the game creates an anonymous player profile on our server (flyingfish.ruykin.com, run on Cloudflare). It holds:

Sign in with Google (optional)

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us a stable account ID for you, and we link it to your player profile so you can pick up your progress on another device. We don't store your email address, name or photo, and we don't get access to anything else in your Google account. See Google's privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Email support@ruykin.com with your leaderboard name and we'll delete your player profile, leaderboard entry and backup. Signing out on a device removes the link to your profile from that device.

Multiplayer races

When you create or join a race room, the game connects to our race server (flyingfish.ruykin.com, run on Cloudflare). For that room it handles:

Positions are relayed to the other players and not stored. The room itself (players, results) is deleted after two hours without activity. We don't use this data for anything else and don't sell or share it.

Like any website, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the connection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

Flying Fish is suitable for all ages. It doesn't ask for personal information. Names are random until the player picks one (a nickname is fine), and names are checked against a list of rude words.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
